Top Restaurants, Hotels and Business Centers Near our Houston Data Center

TRG - A Houston Data Center
TRG - A Houston Data Center

Our Houston data center is conveniently located near both the I-45 and the I-99. It’s been strategically located here to ensure it’s completely disaster-proof, and building it 3ft above ground level means it will remain accessible in case of flooding too. But our location is also great in terms of local amenities, and that makes all the difference when teams come to visit.

We’re just a short drive from the Woodlands, which took the top spot on Niche’s “2022 Best Cities to Live in America.” There are some fantastic restaurants within minutes of the data center, and several great hotels nearby. Here are a few of our top picks from the local area to give you a taste of what to expect when you come and see us.

Unmissable restaurants near us

Our Houston data center is just a five minute drive from the Market at Springwoods Village, where you’ll find restaurants inspired by cuisines from all over the world. We also have some world-class Texas barbecues within easy reach of the data center. Here are a few of our team’s favorites.

Wunsche Bros. Cafe & Saloon

This is a Texas classic. The prohibition-inspired saloon bar serves all American fare and always delivers on true southern hospitality. The chicken fried steak is a must try, as is the house-smoked pulled pork.

CorkScrew BBQ

No trip to Texas would be complete without a visit to one of the state’s top BBQ spots. CorkScrew BBQ is our team’s go-to when the BBQ cravings hit. The food is nothing short of amazing – in fact we’d go so far as to say it’s the best ‘cue in Texas.

Charm Thai Bistro

If you’re in the mood for Thai food, head to Charm Thai Bistro. The dishes here are authentic and perfectly balanced. Try the classic Khao Saoi and you’ll be transported all the way to the streets of Chang Mai.

Tarka Indian Kitchen

For quick lunches that don’t compromise on flavor, it’s got to be Tarka Indian Kitchen. The restaurant serves six incredible curries with your choice of chicken, lamb, vegetables, paneer or shrimp. Everything is spiced to order and comes with basmati rice.

Pokemoto

The food on offer at The Market at Springwoods Village really will take you all over the world. If you’re feeling a trip to the Tropics, make your way to Pokemoto for the tastiest Hawaiian style poke bowls. You can create your own dish with your preferred proteins, mix-ins, toppings, and crunches, and finish it off with your favorite sauce.

Sushi Rebel

Sushi Rebel is a destination sushi spot on City Plaza Dr. Created by the team behind Uptown Sushi, it’s a sleek and sophisticated restaurant with food that never disappoints. We love the Kobe cubes and shareable appetizers, followed by the amazing speciality rolls. If you’re thinking of treating your team at the end of a long project, this is where to do it.

Where to stay during your data center visit

If your team needs a place to stay during your data center visit, there are several good hotels in the area. The following options are all conveniently located, with comfortable accommodation for a great night’s sleep.

Houston CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village

Located in Springwoods Village, the accommodation at the Houston CityPlace Marriott comes complete with plush bedding, Keurig coffee makers and ergonomic workspaces. There’s an on-site restaurant and bar, as well as an outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness center.

Residence Inn Houston City Place

Located near I-45, Hardy Toll Road and the Grand Parkway, the Residence Inn Houston City Place is another option within easy reach of the data center. The hotel has its own 24-hour business center, and its spacious suites come with fully equipped kitchens.

Hilton Garden Inn North Houston Spring

North of Houston, between Spring and The Woodlands, the Hilton Garden Inn North Houston Spring is also well worth a look. It has its own on-site restaurant, the Garden Grille and Bar, and room service is available. There’s a business suite and meeting rooms for guests’ use, along with a fitness center and outdoor pool.

At the nexus of I-45, Grand Parkway and Hardy Toll Road, you’ll find City Place Plaza. Already home to some of Houston’s finest in technology, energy, shipping and medicine, City Place Plaza now has its own emerging foodie scene.

ExxonMobil Houston Campus

Just a short drive from the data center is ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art campus. The campus is home to its Upstream, Downstream, Chemicals and XTO Energy companies, and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Just around the corner from City Place Plaza you’ll find Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The campus has been designed to embody HPE’s Edge-to-Office vision for the future of work, by promoting collaboration, productivity, flexibility and convenience.
